WITH ALICIA

Lately, I have been feeling a very strong sense of preparation, although I can't necessarily tell you what we're preparing for.  I have been noticing it in my own life, in my sessions and in the conversations I am having with so many of you.

And maybe not knowing is actually part of what we are learning right now.

You don't need to know what's next. You need to become available for it.

We spend so much time trying to heal our pain, hear our intuition, connect with our Higher Self, receive guidance and understand the signs around us, but we don't always consider the instrument that is receiving all of that information.

The body is the instrument through which we receive, translate, hold and ultimately embody information.

If our system is overwhelmed, dysregulated, exhausted, distracted or simply full of everything we have been carrying, it can be much harder to hear what is trying to come through.

This is why I keep coming back to the question,

What does my body know that my mind hasn't caught up to yet?

Our bodies are communicating with us all the time. And when we feel tired, reactive, emotional, disconnected or simply "off," we don't have to make that mean there is something wrong with us.

An instrument doesn't need judgment when it's out of tune. It needs tuning.

Maybe that tuning is breath. Maybe it's rest, movement, nature, nervous system regulation, clearing, laughter, community, or simply putting the phone down long enough to create some space.

Instead of asking Why am I feeling like this?, we can begin asking,

What is my instrument trying to tell me it needs?

Because the frequency we are holding is so important, and not in a "just be in love and light" kind of way. Especially when we are creating what comes next.

We cannot create the new from the frequency of the old.

We can't create something truly different from fear, guilt, frustration, unworthiness, obligation or duty and expect it not to carry some of that old energy with it. This doesn't mean we need to maintain some perfectly "high vibration" state all the time. Frequency is information. It shows us where we are, what we are holding and perhaps what needs our attention before we move forward.

I think this is also connected to what so many of us are being asked to put down right now, particularly the patterns of carrying, fixing, rescuing and feeling responsible for what other people are moving through.

These themes have come through so many times these past few weeks:

Holding doesn't require doing.

Anchoring doesn't require rescuing.

Love doesn't require sacrifice.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is remain grounded in ourselves while someone else moves through what they need to move through. We don't have to enter their fear to love them through it, and we don't have to sacrifice our own energy to be of service.

Maybe that is what preparation looks like right now. Not trying to figure out exactly where we're going or what is going to happen next, but making space, listening to the body, tending to our instrument, noticing the frequency we're creating from and putting down what we were never meant to carry.

You don't need to know what's next. You need to become available for it.
