WITH ALICIA

I’ve been a little quieter lately. I’ve needed more space, less noise, and more time to listen.

And I know I’m not the only one.

There is a strange feeling of being in-between right now. For some, things are ending or changing again. For others, intuition and sensitivity are becoming stronger. And for many, there is something harder to put into words:

You’ve changed...but your life hasn’t completely caught up with who you’ve become.

I know this place very well. I’ve been on this awakening journey for about 15 years now, and recently I found myself looking back at it differently.

When I was in Hawaii earlier this year, I learned something about the ocean. The waves come in sets of three. One comes in, then another, then another, each building on the one before it. And when you understand the pattern, you begin to know how to meet the waves differently.

I realized my own awakening has felt a lot like that. 🌊

The first wave was the breakdown.

Relationships changed. My work changed. My identity changed. The life I thought I was going to live no longer fit. Mine felt less like a wave and more like a tsunami. 😂

Of course, I didn’t know that’s what was happening at the time. I just thought my life was falling apart. What I couldn’t see then was that so much of what I had built my identity around was being dismantled to make room for who I was becoming.

Then came the awakening, or the beginning of ascension itself.

For me, this became especially intense around 2018. My intuition opened quickly. My body changed. My perception of reality changed. I was learning an entirely different way of being in the world, and I didn’t always understand what was happening to me.

And then came what I now think of as the third wave: embodiment.

This is the part I don’t think we talk about enough.

You can do years of healing. You can know yourself more deeply than ever before. You can trust your intuition, change your relationships, your work, your beliefs and the way you move through the world...and still find yourself asking:

Why am I here again?

I know I’ve changed, so why hasn’t my life changed in the way I thought it would?

There can be grief here. There can be loneliness. There can be a sense that the old life no longer fits, while the new one isn’t fully visible yet.

Faith can be hard in this place.

I know because I’ve been there. More than once.

And if this is where you are right now, I want you to know what I wish someone could have told me when I was there:

You are not necessarily back where you started. You may simply be meeting another wave.🩷

And this is what feels especially important to me right now. I don’t think these waves are always happening neatly, one after another. Many of us may be experiencing aspects of all three at once.

Something in your life may be breaking down while something else is awakening.

You may be grieving an old version of yourself while simultaneously becoming more fully who you are. You can be deeply embodied in one part of your life and suddenly find yourself at the beginning again somewhere else.

Breakdown. Awakening. Embodiment.

Over and over, at deeper levels.

So maybe the question isn’t, Why is this happening to me again?

Maybe it is:

What is this wave asking me to see?

Come back to yourself. Take a breath. Get grounded. Ask what you need. And when you’re ready, ask why.

Why is this here? What is this trying to show me?

You don’t need a portal date, a social media post, or even me to tell you what is true for you.

The conversation is already happening.

Maybe this part of the journey isn’t about learning how to avoid the waves. Maybe it is about learning how to move with them, trusting that you are not lost simply because you cannot yet see where they are taking you.

And when you find yourself in that in-between place, unsure of what comes next, maybe you don’t need to figure it all out.

Maybe you just need more space, less noise, and time to listen.

If this is where you find yourself right now, I hope this helps you understand what you are feeling a little more.

It’s what I wish someone had told me. 🩷
