Spiritual War of the Mind: Why Your Frequency is Everything

We are moving through what I’ve been calling a kind of “spiritual war of the mind.”

Not a war in the traditional sense — no armies, no battlegrounds — but a tug-of-war for something much more subtle: your attention, your clarity, and your frequency.

Everywhere you turn, something is vying for your energy. News cycles, collective fear, the pull of old patterns, even the quiet voice of self-doubt that sneaks into your mind when you least expect it.

And lately, there’s been another layer of energy surfacing: invisible cords that tether us back into outdated programs, limiting belief systems, and groupthink.

If you’ve ever seen The Matrix, think of those cords plugging Neo into the system. That’s the imagery I come back to when I tune into this. These cords can look like the voice in your head that says:

  • “I can’t do this on my own.”

  • “I don’t know how.”

  • “This is just the way it’s always been.”

At first glance, they seem harmless. But the truth is, these words act like tiny spell-casts. Each time you say them, they anchor you deeper into the very system you’ve been working so hard to free yourself from.

This is why I keep reminding my clients, my groups, and myself:

Your vibration is your currency.

It’s not about staying in bliss all the time; that’s not realistic, nor is it the goal. Instead, it’s about developing the ability to notice when you’ve slipped out of alignment. To catch the thought loops, moods, or even physical symptoms that might not even be yours, and gently bring yourself back.

Here are some practices I use daily, and the ones I teach most often right now:

👉 Ask often: “Is this mine?” That heavy mood you woke up with? The sudden frustration that seems to come from nowhere? Not everything you feel originates from you. Sometimes you’re picking up on collective energy, family patterns, or even the environment you’re in. By asking “Is this mine?” you create space to release what isn’t truly yours to carry.

👉 Pay attention to your self-talk. Notice the quiet scripts you repeat to yourself. “I can’t.” “I don’t know how.” “It always goes this way.” These are more than words; they are energetic agreements. Shifting your self-talk isn’t about bypassing reality; it’s about refusing to reinforce old patterns with your language.

👉 Practice feeling truth in your body — without always relying on tools. Pendulums, cards, and other tools are great supports, but right now we’re being asked to strengthen our own internal compass. Truth often feels expansive, calm, and clear. Lies or distortions feel constrictive, heavy, or even tight in the throat or chest. Trust those signals.

The real work in this season isn’t about chasing bliss or perfection. It’s about learning to hold center, to stand steady in the middle ground without being yanked into polarity.

The more you practice this, the less sway the invisible cords will have over you.

This is the path of sovereignty.

This is how you reclaim your frequency.

And this, right now, is the work we are all being invited to step into.

Reflection Prompts

Take a few minutes with your journal and explore these questions:

  1. Where do I notice invisible cords in my life? (beliefs, patterns, or external influences that pull me back into the “old way”)

  2. How does truth feel in my body? Describe the physical sensations of both truth and distortion.

  3. What words or self-talk am I ready to shift? Which phrases have become unconscious spell-casts in my life?

  4. What daily practice can help me stay centred in the middle — not pulled into extremes?
